About

The Neighborhood:
The Lower Highland (LoHi) neighborhood, bounded by Interstate 25 on the east, West 38th Ave on the north, Speer Boulevard to the South, and Federal Boulevard on the West, is located immediately northwest of downtown Denver. The area today is one of the more sought-after city-center neighborhoods. LoHi is one of Denver’s oldest neighborhoods, and is chock full of locally owned businesses, restaurants and bars.

The Event:
On Saturday June 13th, 2009, we will hold the First Annual LoHi Run, Crawl and Shop event. The day will consist of a 5K run/walk in the morning, a pub crawl/ride lasting through the evening, and an all-day shopping event.

Who Benefits:
This day is designed to celebrate our neighborhood while raising funds for our neighborhood schools: North High, Sandoval, Bryant Webster and Escuela de Guadalupe. The event is being developed in conjunction with One Word One Love, a local elementary literacy program started by Matthew Faas. Our neighborhood sponsors are donating 15% of the sales on June 13th to go to our five beneficiaries. The who’s who list of businesses supporting our schools will be available soon. Stay tuned!
